CASE STUDY · PRODUCT

A client portal that took the admin out of a storage business

Members register themselves, schedule pickups and returns, and browse a photo catalog of every item they own — without a single email to the office.

The challenge

Every client interaction went through a person.

Seasonal Closet stores customers’ off-season clothing and moves it back and forth as the seasons change. But members had no way to see what they had in storage, book a pickup, or check on a request — every one of those went through the office by hand. Growing the membership meant growing the admin with it, one client at a time.

What we built

One portal the members run themselves.

A custom full-stack application, built from scratch and shipped to production. Members create their own accounts, see their bins, racks and shoe storage at a glance, and request pickups and returns against a calendar of what is pending and what is confirmed — with billing and profile in the same place. Premium members also get the Digital Closet: a searchable, filterable photo catalog of everything they own, split between what is in storage and what is at home, with a return request one click away. The membership tier is enforced in the application itself, not just hidden in the interface.

dashboard · bins, racks & requests at a glance
scheduling · request, reschedule, confirm
digital-closet · photo catalog, premium tier only

The outcome

The membership grows without the admin growing with it.

It is live and in daily use. Members self-register and handle their own scheduling, billing and catalog, so taking on more clients no longer means more time in the inbox. The team manages storage counts and membership tiers from a back-office view layered straight onto the live data — no custom admin build required.

Your business has casework like this too.
